According to a statement issued by Mr. Bolaji Tunji, the Special Adviser for Strategic Communication and Media Relations to the minister, the purpose of the meeting is to gather information and seek a sustainable resolution to the issues plaguing the power sector, which have had detrimental effects on the nation's progress and advancement.

The minister expressed the intention to implement frequent meetings including all players within the value chain, with the purpose of consistently evaluating advancements within the industry.
