A man succumbs to drowning during a swimming incident at a hotel located in Ogun state.

A man, referred to as Usman, met his demise by drowning during a swimming activity at the Popoterry Hotel located in the Ogijo region inside the Sagamu Local Government region of Ogun State.

In a statement provided to journalists, SP Omolola Odutola, the spokesperson for the state police command, verified the occurrence of the incident. According to Emmanuel Olaitan, a companion of Usman, they had embarked on a picnic at Popoterry Hotel, during which Usman tragically perished while engaging in swimming activities within the pool.

According to Odutola, subsequent to the occurrence, the body of Usman was transported to Oladayo Hospital, where the attending physician pronounced him deceased.

The speaker also stated that the dead individual's remains have been transported to Jas Mortuary in order to undergo an autopsy.
