Alhaji Saleh Mandung Zazzaga, the chairman of the Forum, made this statement in Jos, the capital of Plateau State, following an emergency meeting to evaluate and analyze the rulings of the electoral tribunal and the performance of the APC thus far.
To ensure that the party does well at the court, whether tribunal, appeal, or Supreme Court, he added all hands must be on deck.
He stated, "Reports reaching us suggest that some appointive office holders like Wike are still playing double games, since he is a member of the APC by appointment but also continues to be a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)."
"We learned that he continues to support the PDP in many of their endeavors and initiatives, particularly in the post-election court challenges.
The APC would not hesitate to take multiple actions against Wike, including legal action, should his actions run counter to the interests of the party. It is high time Wike comes clean and declares which party he truly belongs to.
"He (Wike) should come out strong and be seen to be supporting and strategizing for victory for the candidates of the APC in the courts, at least in the North-Central Region, under which the FCT falls," he said. "As someone who is holding an appointive position of the APC, a Lawyer by profession, and someone reputed for doggedly fighting political-legal battles right from Rivers State."
As some people are peddling in some circles, Zazzaga further advised Wike against leveraging his position as the FCT Minister to plan for his 2027 presidential ambition.
He insisted that their forum would keep an eye out to make sure that he completed his devotion to the country, the APC, and President Bola Tinubu before indulging in any self-interested strategies.
The Chairman warned Wike to exercise caution when implementing FCT land revocation, demolition, and other administrative measures that could have unfavorable effects because the North Central will be the first area to suffer the consequences of any unfavorable events in the FCT.
He claimed that the region already faces numerous difficulties, including security issues, and they would not want anything to make matters worse.
He urged all APC leaders, members, and supporters to assist all of their candidates when they file legal post-election cases in court.
Additionally, he asked all Nigerians to support Tinubu, George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, all ministers, and those in appointment-only posts so that they might succeed in their duties and bring democracy's benefits to the country.
