'Watermark' allegation made by the Tinubu legal team on copies of the tribunal verdict is self-incriminating, according to the PDP
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has characterized the acknowledgment made by President Bola Tinubu's legal team regarding the inclusion of the label "Tinubu Presidential Legal Team" (TPLT) on the Certified True Copies (CTC) of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) judgement presently being disseminated as an act that incriminates themselves.

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) characterized the explanation as a desperate endeavor to alleviate public scrutiny and deter potential further disclosures concerning the matter, as stated by Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the party's National Publicity Secretary, in a statement released on Monday.

The PDP has stated that the prompt acknowledgment by Tinubu's legal team that they "scanned and watermarked" their copy of the judgment provides support to the prevailing public suspicion of premeditated manipulation of the tribunal's decision by the All Progressives Congress, APC.

According to a report by DAILY POST, the President Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT) has just provided the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP), namely Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, with a copy of its verdict.

The development ensued subsequent to the tribunal's ruling that upheld the electoral victory of President Bola Tinubu.

The court rendered its decision regarding the petitions filed by Atiku and Obi, which contested the declaration of Tinubu as the victor of the presidential election held on February 25th.

Nevertheless, online photographs depict the presence of the inscription "Tinubu Presidential Legal Team" (TPLT) on the Certified True Copies (CTC) of the judgement rendered by the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC).

The legal team representing Tinubu has provided clarification that the inscription in question was a 'watermark' that they applied to their personal copies of the court judgment. However, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) holds a differing perspective on this matter.

Based on the findings of the PDP, a significant proportion of the Nigerian population expressed dissatisfaction with the assertions made by the legal team representing Tinubu.

The opposition party maintains that additional scrutiny and professional evaluation have revealed that the documents in question were not subjected to scanning and that the TPLT inscriptions were not genuine watermarks, but rather default computer headers.

The PDP has requested that Tinubu's legal team provide an explanation about the acceptance of a default header on its computer system as a valid watermark.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has conducted a thorough analysis of the controversial labeling of the Header of Tinubu Presidential Legal Team (TPLT) on the Certified True Copies (CTC) of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) verdict that is now being circulated.

The prompt admission made by the Tinubu Legal Team, stating that they had scanned and watermarked their copy of the ruling with the inscription "Tinubu Presidential Legal Team 'TPLT'," can be seen as self-incriminating. This admission further supports the prevailing public suspicion of premeditated manipulation by the APC.

The prompt action taken by the TPLT in acknowledging its influence on the CTC of the judgment appears to be a strategic maneuver aimed at mitigating public attention and preempting potential disclosures related to the matter.

"The PDP insists that the legal team associated with Tinubu should provide an explanation regarding the acceptance of a default header on its computer system as a valid watermark," excerpts from the statement state.
