Two kidnapping victims are rescued by police in Delta, and live cartridges are also found.
A collaborative effort by various security personnel, including the Anti-Cult Unit, SIB Unit, and local vigilante groups, under the leadership of CSP Olasunkanmi Musiliu, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Oghara Division in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, resulted in the successful rescue of two individuals who had been kidnapped. 

The incident occurred on the Oghara-Ugbenu link road in Ethiope-West Local Government Area of the State, and fortunately, the victims were unharmed.


According to a report by DAILY POST, the incident took place on August 31, 2023, at approximately 11:30 am.


In addition to the aforementioned items, the law enforcement authorities also retrieved four functional ammunition rounds, a Tecno Spark mobile device, an automated teller machine card, and three subscriber identity module cards belonging to distinct telecommunication networks from the location in question.


The report was corroborated by the Delta State Police Command, under the leadership of CP Wale Abass, as stated in a formal statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.


According to the police spokesperson, the individuals who were abducted have been successfully reunited with their respective family members.


As to his account, the individuals implicated in the kidnapping incident purportedly left behind the victims, who were reportedly seized near the Oghara-Ugbenu link road, and managed to flee the scene.


According to DSP Edafe, there are active measures being taken to apprehend the accused kidnappers who are now evading capture, irrespective of the successful recovery of the victim.
