Tinubu fires Gwandu, the CEO of NASENI

The termination of Dr. Bashir Gwandu's appointment as the Executive Vice-Chairman/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has been accepted by President Bola Tinubu.

The appointment of Khalil Suleiman Halilu, aged 32, as the Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of NASENI has been sanctioned by the President.

As per the statement made by the President, the appointment shall take effect immediately.

The communication was disseminated on Friday through an official statement by Ajuri Ngelale, the spokesperson for the president.

According to Ngelale, Halilu is expected to fulfill a preliminary tenure of five years, as stipulated by the pertinent provisions outlined in the NASENI Act of 2014.

As per his statement, it is anticipated that Halilu will use his extensive background as an inventor and technology specialist in the forthcoming national undertaking.
