The Osun APC expelled 26 Aregbesola supporters.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has recently taken disciplinary action against 26 people within its ranks.

On Thursday, it was reported by INFOGONG that a total of 84 members of the party were expelled as a result of engaging in anti-party tactics.

Among the group of 84 individuals that were ejected, it is noteworthy that three individuals exhibited unwavering loyalty towards Rauf Aregbesola, the former governor of Osun State and Interior Minister in President Muhammadu Buhari's administration.

A portion of the 26 members of the Osun All Progressives Congress (APC) who have been suspended also include individuals who are loyal to Rauf Aregbesola.

The individuals encompassed within this group are Moshood Adeoti, a former member of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), who served as the chairman of Osun State and also held the position of Secretary to the State Government.

He also ran for governor twice as a candidate representing the party in the state.

Additional individuals who have held prominent positions in the political landscape of Osun State include Najeem Salami, who served as Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly for two terms, Adelowo Adebiyi, the former Chairman of the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Mudashiru Hussein, a former representative of Osun West in the Nigerian Senate, as well as Adelani Baderinwa and Sikiru Ayedun, who previously served as commissioners in the administration of Rauf Aregbesola.

In a statement issued by the state Chairman of the APC, Tajudeen Lawal, on Thursday, it was announced that the suspension of certain party members was a consequence of engaging in anti-party activities. This move was taken in response to claims of misbehavior, namely related to factionalization and the establishment of a parallel party organ within the State.

According to the statement, the action was initiated subsequent to a comprehensive and unbiased evaluation of claims by the Disciplinary Committee established by the political party in the State. The committee meticulously debated upon the findings before reaching a decision.

In response to reported instances of anti-party conduct, the State Executive Committee of the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has established a Disciplinary Committee with the purpose of examining the accusations leveled against some party members.

This disciplinary action was implemented in response to the accusations of wrongdoing that involved the potential division of the party and the establishment of a separate party entity.

The allegations were subjected to a comprehensive and unbiased assessment by the Disciplinary Committee, and the State Executive Committee thoroughly deliberated upon the findings.

Following a thorough evaluation of the available information and careful deliberation of the recommendations put out by the committee, the State Executive Committee has made the challenging but imperative decision to impose an indefinite suspension on the subsequent members.
