The leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un, commemorates the anniversary of the country with a military parade.

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) commemorated its 75th founding anniversary by organizing a ceremonial procession, which was graced by the presence of diplomats from the Russian Federation and a delegation from the People's Republic of China.

The celebration held on Friday at Kim Il Sung Square in Pyongyang showcased paramilitary brigades donning uniforms.

The event was graced by the presence of Kim Jong-un, the leader of North Korea, a Russian military song-and-dance troupe, and representatives from Beijing.

The occurrence is in response to speculation around a potential meeting between Mr. Kim and Vladimir Putin scheduled for this month.

It is well acknowledged that Mr. Kim intends to embark on a trip to Russia in order to engage in discussions with the Russian president over the potential provision of weapons by North Korea to support Russia's involvement in the conflict in Ukraine.

According to the Interfax news agency, when questioned by a journalist in Moscow on Saturday, Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Kremlin, refrained from providing any comments on the subject matter.

In a communication expressing felicitations to Mr. Kim on the occasion of North Korea's 75th anniversary of establishment, Mr. Putin conveyed his conviction regarding the ongoing enhancement of bilateral relations between the two nations across several domains.

According to his statement, this measure would contribute to safeguarding the security and stability of the Korean peninsula and northeast Asia.

Mr. Putin highlighted that the Soviet Union held the distinction of being the initial nation to acknowledge the North Korean regime. According to his statement, the bilateral relations between the two nations have subsequently been established upon the fundamental tenets of amity, harmonious coexistence, and reciprocal regard.

Earlier this week, the Russian embassy in Pyongyang made an announcement stating that it had been granted permission to bring in a total of 20 diplomatic and technical personnel.

According to a report by the Korean Central News Agency, Kim Il Sung Square was characterized by a state of excitement and joy, as shown by the attendees of the parade who bestowed the utmost honor and heartfelt gratitude upon Kim Jong Un, an unparalleled patriot and indomitable commander.

According to Chinese official media, President Xi Jinping of China conveyed his felicitations to Kim Jong Un through a telephone conversation, on the occasion of the anniversary.

The march was attended by a Chinese delegation, headed by Liu Guozhong, who serves as the vice-premier of the State Council. During the event, the team also held a meeting with Mr. Kim.

According to official media, the event highlighted paramilitary troops instead of regular army soldiers, and refrained from displaying the country's prohibited arsenal, which encompasses ballistic missiles.
