The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Kaduna Zonal Command summoned the defendant, a resident of Millennium City Kaduna, before the court.
Justice Khobo's ruling found the defendant guilty of the allegation brought against him.
The judge gave him a 12-month prison term with the possibility of an additional $100,000 in fines.
Additionally, he mandated that the Federal Government forfeit the iPhone 12 and Infinix S5 phone found on the offender during his arrest and return $1,000 to Kingsley Matthew, his victim.
Enoch was one of the suspects detained at Malali in Kaduna on August 25 as a result of actionable intelligence regarding the actions of those suspected of being fraudsters, according to the EFCC Counsel, P. C. Onyeneho.
"Enoch was arrested, and police found an iPhone 12 and an Infinix S5 phone on him. When the phone was investigated, they discovered that multiple false documents had been produced from his emails.
"Checks on his profile revealed that Enoch had impersonated one Sandra James and swindled the complainant out of $1,000 using fictitious emails," the prosecutor continued.
To the charge, the defendant had entered a guilty plea.
