Sodiq Abubakar switches to Rivers United from Enyimba

The acquisition of Sadiq Abubakar from Enyimba has been finalized by Rivers United.

Abubakar has into a contractual agreement for a duration of two years with the previous winners of the Nigeria Professional Football League.

Enyimba was unable to reach a consensus on a new contractual agreement with the player.

The newly signed player, aged 26, is set to receive a monthly salary of approximately N500,000 at his recently joined team.

He will be afforded the option to participate in the CAF Confederation Cup as a member of Rivers United.

Abubakar played a pivotal role in Enyimba's successful championship campaign during the previous season.
