Reason for FCT power interruption provided by AEDC

The capital city's power loss, according to Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, is the result of a grid breakdown.

This was announced by AEDC on Thursday in a message posted to its Twitter account.

Customers in its franchise region were reassured that they were attempting to find a solution.

The management of Abuja Electricity Distribution Plc (AEDC) would like to let its customers know that the current power outage is the result of a national grid system malfunction that occurred in the early hours of today, September 14, 2023.

"You may rest easy knowing that we are collaborating with the necessary parties to restart the power as soon as the grid is stable.

We ask for your understanding, the statement said.
