This was said by the Prophet in a statement that he on Thursday made available to iGONG.
He claims that in their quest to become famous, artists enlist the devil's assistance.
He did point out that these famous people were unaware that the devil would pay back every favor he had given them.
"The devil is unable to provide anything without receiving a fair exchange in return. They (Nigerian artists) are unaware that this is the devil's game, he said.
Olujobi urged African and Nigerian artists to get back to God, who he referred to as the source of all gifts.
The preacher claimed that some of the artists' premature demise in their prime would be caused by a bizarre agreement between them and the devil.
"Nigerian artistes and their African counterparts have to return to God, the giver of all gifts, as many of them have entered into strange covenant that will eventually cut off their light at their peak," he said.
