According to iGONG, the tribunal rejected the plea from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and upheld Mutfwang's election as the state's elected governor. Mutfwang is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Additionally, it stated that the PDP had made legitimate progress and that nominating and sponsoring candidates was exclusively a pre-election issue.
The governor praised the judiciary for enforcing the law and delivering justice as he thanked God and the Plateau people for their support during his triumph.
"I want to express my gratitude to God, who made this possible. I want to express my gratitude to the Plateau State residents that supported us.
Adding, "And I want to thank their lordships for having the heart to do according to the dictates of their conscience and according to the law," he continued.
By stating that he would focus on accelerating the execution of his administration's policies and programs going forward, he gave the people of Plateau an assurance that he would keep his word and fulfill his campaign pledges.
"In the next days, we'll take a more aggressive approach, and we'll move faster on the programs we've already started.
He declared, "We will make sure that we proceed at the best speed in order to fulfill the commitments we have given to our people. (NAN)
