Osun IPMAN is cautioned by Adeleke not to hoard PMS.The Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has issued a cautionary message to the Osun State Chapter of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), urging them to refrain from engaging in the practice of withholding Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).

The pGovernor issued the warning during a formal meeting with the leadership of IPMAN. Additionally, he emphasized that his government would not tolerate any actions by the association that would cause undue difficulty for the citizens of the State in their efforts to obtain the product.


Adeleke emphasized the significance of IPMAN in the national economy, highlighting the consequential impact that any developments pertaining to petrol would have on the overall economic landscape.


The individual expressed their intention to arrange a meeting with Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State, with the aim of facilitating the revival of the inactive Ibadan petroleum depot. In response, the Governor informed them of his commitment to involve them in the development of policies.


I thus guarantee IPMAN that I will thoroughly examine their extensive array of demands in order to provide them with appropriate assistance.


The individual expressed their intention to engage in a discourse with Governor Seyi Makinde with the purpose of expediting the revitalization of the inactive Ibadan depot.


In his previous address, Dr. Bukola Mutiu, the Chairman of IPMAN, made an appeal to the State Government for assistance in revitalizing the Ibadan petroleum depot, which played a crucial role in serving both Osun and Oyo State.


Mutiu emphasized that the potential resolution of this issue by the government will alleviate the burden of having to travel to Lagos and other states in search of petroleum products.


The Chairman of the association requested the government's support in granting financial assistance to aid with the deregulation of product prices. Additionally, the Chairman appealed for assistance in ensuring a consistent power supply and increasing the availability of buses to enable the movement and monitoring of association members.


However, Mutiu emphasized the need of the government providing a consolidated invoice to them. He assured that they were prepared to assist the current administration by consistently paying taxes and levies.
