Ogun traffic crash leaves two people killed and one injured.
On Friday, a fatal road accident occurred at the Ota tollgate, situated along the Abeokuta-Lagos expressway in Ogun State, resulting in the unfortunate demise of two individuals.


The occurrence was verified by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), who reported that a single individual incurred injuries as a result of the collision.


According to Florence Okpe, the spokesman for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun state, the incident took place at about 05:11 am and included four cars. 


These vehicles include a white Volvo trailer with the registration number T-14223LA, a yellow Volkswagen with the marking KRD132XX, and two Bajaj motorcycles with the number plates LAR178VL and PKA873VS.


“A total of three persons were involved, comprising two male adults and a female adult.


According to Okpe, there was one male adult who sustained injuries, while two other individuals, one male adult and one female adult, were pronounced deceased as a result of the collision.


According to information obtained by INFOGONG , the deadly tragedy is believed to have been caused by the truck driver's negligent overtaking and excessive speed, resulting in a collision with one of the motorcycles.


According to Okpe, this incident resulted in a collision involving the Volkswagen vehicle and the other motorcycle.


She claimed the dead victims had been deposited at the Ifo General Hospital morgue.


According to Okpe, the Ogun FRSC Sector Commander, Anthony Uga, emphasized the importance of defensive driving, urging motorists to take into account the presence of other cars on the road.


The speaker underscored the need of drivers always adhering to the prescribed speed limit while expressing sympathy for the families affected by the incidents.
