Nigeria's constitution is violated by the tribunal's ruling regarding the 2023 presidential election. According to Peter Obi Diaspora Group
The Peter Obi Global Diaspora Support Network (POGDSN) has expressed complete disagreement with the decision rendered by the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT), which upheld the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the presidential election held on February 25, 2023.

The organization conveyed its astonishment regarding the ruling in a statement released on Friday, which was signed by its convener, Prof. Pat Obiefule. The group asserted that the justices' decision was not in alignment with the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Consequently, the party expressed its determination to pursue legal recourse by seeking to regain the presidential candidacy mandate of Peter Obi from the Labour Party (LP) through the Supreme Court.

The Peter Obi Global Diaspora Support Network (POGDSN) expresses its strong opposition to the judgement rendered by the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) in response to the petition CA/PEPC/03/2023 filed by the Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Peter Gregory Obi. This petition contested the selection of Bola Ahmed Tinubu by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

POGDSN expresses profound astonishment, dissatisfaction, and distress in response to the judgment rendered by the PEPT, as it signifies a complete relinquishment of authority to the executive branch of government, resembling a state capture scenario. Furthermore, this judgment fails to align with the constitutional vision of an independent judiciary as outlined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The POGDSN expresses strong disapproval of this ruling in its entirety, viewing it as an endeavor to validate the imposed presidency of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Furthermore, it perceives the judgment as a setback for the aspirations of ordinary Nigerians who have endured prolonged hardships, seeking a new nation founded on the principles of justice, equity, and fairness. Additionally, the POGDSN asserts that this ruling significantly diminishes the moral and ethical standards of the broader society.

Today marks a disheartening occasion for democracy and the principles of legal governance in Nigeria. Nevertheless, we maintain a steadfast dedication to safeguarding the primacy of the Constitution, with a specific focus on reclaiming the legitimate and lawful mandate bestowed upon Mr. Peter Gregory Obi by the Nigerian populace nationwide during the presidential election held on February 25, 2023.
