Ndidi promises that the Super Eagles will reach the 2026 World Cup.
Wilfred Ndidi has expressed his commitment to ensuring the Nigerian national football team, known as the Super Eagles, will exert maximum effort in order to clinch qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The West African teams were unable to secure qualification for the most recent edition of the FIFA World Cup, which was held in Qatar.

In the playoff round, the Super Eagles had a defeat on aggregate against their perennial opponents, the Black Stars of Ghana.

The team led by Jose Peseiro will engage in competition against South Africa, Benin Republic, Rwanda, Lesotho, and Zimbabwe in order to secure a position in the finals of the 2026 World Cup.

The victory achieved against Sao Tome and Principe is highly beneficial for our team. Ndidi informed the media that the event will function as a catalyst for enhancing morale in anticipation of the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers.

The inability to participate in the last iteration of the World Cup held in Qatar was a source of distress. The supporters expressed profound disappointment with our performance, and it is imperative that we do not repeat our failure, since we are unable to bear the consequences of disappointing them once more.

We must continue to exert diligent effort as a cohesive unit, with the expectation that circumstances will align favorably with our objectives.

The inaugural match of Nigeria in the qualifying rounds is scheduled against the national football team of Lesotho, known as the Crocodiles, on the 13th of November.
