My comments regarding the UniCal sex scandal are really terrible. Mr. Uju Kennedy, minister
The Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs. Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, expressed sorrow for the statement made about the sexual harassment crisis at the University of Calabar (UNICAL) in Cross River in a viral video.

The statement was made in response to recent public debates and reactions from worried Nigerians regarding the developing situation at the school concerning Prof. Cyril Ndifon, Dean of the Faculty of Law, and the sexual harassment claims made against him.

Kennedy-Ohanenye reaffirmed her commitment to justice, protecting and improving the rights and welfare of Nigerian women, and pursuing justice whenever their rights were abused in a statement given to newsmen on Sunday in Abuja.

She emphasized her unflinching commitment to following the law's requirements and the rule of law, acknowledging that these concepts were the cornerstones of just and equitable communities.

"I would like to apologize sincerely to everyone who was hurt by my remarks and deeds in relation to the sexual harassment issue at the University of Calabar.

It's very unfortunate because my intentions were pure and in line with my ongoing fight for the rights of Nigerian women and the quest of justice.

It is my goal that we can work together to realize the dream of a nation where women's rights are respected and protected and where our children feel safe at institutions of learning, she said. "I stand for all Nigerian women. I stand for justice.
