Military is still dedicated to defending people and property, says CDS Musa

According to General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), the military maintains its dedication to safeguarding the lives and assets of Nigerian citizens, regardless of their tribal or religious affiliations.

As to his statement, it is asserted that the military maintains a nonpartisan and apolitical stance, prioritizing the safeguarding of the nation's territorial integrity against external invasion.

During his visit to the leadership of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs at the National Mosque in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, General Musa expressed that the purpose of the visit was to enhance the bond between the Nigerian armed forces and religious leaders throughout the nation.

The speaker expressed a firm commitment on behalf of the Military to safeguard the lives and property of Nigerians, regardless of their tribal or religious affiliations.

The Chief of Defence Staff urged religious leaders in the nation to leverage their positions in order to promote the peace and unity necessary for the socio-economic advancement of the country.

According to General Musa, the attainment of progress in all aspects of national life is contingent upon the establishment of peace and unity.

The Chief Imam of the Central Mosque, Sheikh Professor Ibrahim Ahmad Maqari, along with other Imams present, expressed gratitude to the military Chief for his visit.

 They pledged to persistently advocate for peace in their sermons and exert every effort to uphold peace and unity among all citizens of Nigeria.
