Making history, Tobi Amusan wins her third straight Diamond League championship.
Tobi Amusan of Nigeria won the Diamond League trophy for a third time in a row.


On Sunday evening, September 17, 2023, Amusan won the hotly contested 100-meter hurdles race with a time record of 12:33 seconds.


Jasmine Camacho-Quin of Puerto Rico came in second place in 12.38 seconds, followed by Kendra Harrison of the United States in third place in 12.44 and world champion Danielle Williams of Jamaica in fourth place in 12.47.


When Tobi Amusan won the world championship in 2022, she broke the previous record at the event in Eugene, Oregon, USA.


In 12.42 seconds, the Nigerian athlete captured her first Diamond League trophy in 2021, and she successfully defended it last year.


Amusan became the second woman in Diamond League history, after Dawn Nelson-Harper, to win a hat-trick of 100-meter hurdles championships thanks to her outstanding effort on Sunday.
