In Ogun, police detain two alleged cultists.
According to a statement released by SP Omolola Odutola, the police spokesperson in the state, the apprehension of the suspects took place on September 4th. The statement was provided to members of the press in Ota, Ogun.


As per her account, the apprehensions were facilitated as a result of a prompt reaction to an informant's disclosure on cultist operations in the Agbado region of the state.


According to Odutola, the expeditious reaction of law enforcement effectively suppressed the commotion instigated by the cultists, resulting in the apprehension of two individuals believed to be involved at the location.


Both individuals have admitted to their affiliation with the Eiye confraternity and have shared significant insights that will assist law enforcement in capturing additional suspects who are currently evading authorities and engaged in activities related to cultism.


Furthermore, the individuals have furnished details pertaining to the syndicate, the precise whereabouts of their armorer, and the potential locations of weapons that could have been employed in their illicit endeavors.


According to the speaker, ongoing preliminary investigations are being conducted at the Divisional Police Office.


According to the Public Relations Officer (PPRO), the individuals in question are expected to be promptly relocated to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for a comprehensive and inconspicuous examination of their alleged participation in the Eiye confraternity and associated illicit activities.


According to the speaker, the Nigeria Police Force, namely the Ogun Command, continues to display a strong and dedicated approach in addressing the issue of cultism and related activities inside the state.
