In an interactive session with media about the future of Imo State, Opara made the claim on Sunday in Owerri, the capital of Imo State.
Opara said he entered the race not to enrich himself but to bring about a generational change when discussing his political campaign for the next governorship election and what he will do to alter the State.
While blaming the existing administration's poor leadership for the state's lack of security, he claimed that the YPP represents a fresh take on governing.
He underscored the YPP's dedication to advancing good governance and tackling Imo State's problems.
He added that changing the existing administration and replacing it with a party that represents a new generation of leaders who are dedicated to serving the people and advancing development is the most effective method to put an end to insecurity in the State.
"Like Imo State Governor Peter Obi, I will promote Imo outside of Nigeria.
Since my government would be made up of young brains, it is not about money but rather about bringing about a generational revolution in Imo State, he claimed.
