The instruction was given by Biu, through Corps Commander Shoba Akande, during a one-day sectoral special marshals workshop on Wednesday in Osogbo.
"Volunteerism in Road Safety Management: Limits and Possibilities" was the workshop's theme.
According to him, the workshop would aid in achieving the corporate strategic goals of FRSC 2023 in cooperation with stakeholders.
"These objectives will contribute to improving road safety partnerships for cutting-edge treatments and achieving a 5% decrease in traffic accidents and injuries.
Additionally, Biu stated, "it will strengthen the formulation of safety policies and improve data collection, analysis, and capacity."
He stated that "it is crucial to continually review activities and assess the impact of the activities in reducing road traffic accidents in Nigeria."
Therefore, according to Biu, the workshop will extend everyone's outlook and produce the desired results for Nigerian road users.
Meshach Jatau, the Zonal Commanding Officer in charge of Osun, Oyo, and Ondo, had earlier ordered special marshals to get ready and get ready to work alongside normal marshals to minimize accidents.
Jatau praised the corps marshal for his tenacious efforts to guarantee safety on the nation's highways.
He expressed confidence that the session will equip attendees with the necessary safety administration knowledge.
According to the Zonal Commanding Officer, safety is a shared duty among all parties and must be implemented rather than being placed solely in the control of the regular marshals.
John Ugbebor, the national coordinator for special marshals, thanked the corps in his welcome speech for providing the support they needed to make the event successful.
The marshals will not compromise on guaranteeing professionalism in the execution of their volunteer duties, according to Ugbebor, who was represented by Tunji Ajiboye.
He claimed that the workshop is evidence of its dedication to professionalism.
He claims that the knowledge and abilities learned at the course will have a big impact on the daily operations of special marshals.
Additionally, Henry Benamaisia, the sector commander for Osun, committed to make sure that the state's 700 or so special marshals worked to fulfill their assigned task.
Benamaisia requested the assistance of all parties involved in transportation and other sister security organizations to make highways accident-free.
