Fighting the Ilupeju industrial fire outbreak is LASTMA and others.
Early on Saturday morning, firefighters from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and other emergency personnel put out an industrial fire.

In a statement released on Saturday in Lagos, Mr. Taofiq Adebayo, the Director of LASTMA's Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department, disclosed the information.

He claimed that Mega Plastics Company, located at No. 4 Ilupeju Bypass, next to the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), was the site of the industrial fire outbreak.

The LASTMA rescue crew arrived at the location of the industrial fire breakout approximately 6:30 a.m. before other emergency responders were notified, according to Mr. Ayo Olaosebikan (Falcon), the Traffic Officer of LASTMA in Zone 21.

"We swiftly alerted other emergency responders, in particular the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services and the Nigerian Police, as soon as we got at the scene of the industrial fire.

"It was not possible to determine the causes of the industrial fire right away." NAN reported what he said.

Olaosebikan stated that a preliminary examination showed that the petrochemical company's storage and factory division was severely impacted by the fire breakout.

He claims that there are police officers, LASTMA Response Unit, Federal and State Fire Services, and other emergency responders on the ground.

According to Olaosebikan, neither a death nor an injury had been reported.
