FG is urged to abolish the Nigerian Law School
Former Director-General of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission and attorney Sam Amadi have pleaded with the Federal Government to abolish the Nigerian Law School.

He made the announcement on Friday in Abuja at the 2023 endowment launch for the "IgbaBoyi," an Igbo apprenticeship program, which was organized by Igbo attorneys working under the auspices of Otu Oka-Iwu.

He stated that the nation has to reconsider its entire structure.

Therefore, I believe we need to reconsider Nigeria's entire institutional structure. The law school is failing, in my opinion. Its function has been fulfilled, he said.

"The law school is built to offer technical, hands-on instruction.

"So, I want to know: What are they offering? In my opinion, law firms are where purpose is best served.

"Many legal students choose not to practice.

"What services does the law school offer to our recent graduates?

"Neither academically nor practically, the law school is not tough.

"In my opinion, we need to concentrate on universities to provide quality academic training."
