EPL: His track record is unproven. Souness chastises Man Utd's summer acquisition
Graeme Souness, a prominent figure in Liverpool's history, has expressed his criticism towards Rasmus Hojlund, a recent acquisition by Manchester United. Souness asserts that the 20-year-old player lacks a substantiated history of achievements.

Hojlund made a transfer to Manchester United from Atalanta during the summer for a price of £72 million.

However, Souness expresses concerns regarding Manchester United's decision to sign Hojlund, emphasizing the potential risks involved. He raises doubts about the Danish prodigy's ability to contribute significantly to Erik ten Hag's team this season, particularly in terms of his goal-scoring capabilities.

In my opinion, it is unlikely that Manchester United would exhibit any significant improvement compared to their performance in the previous season. According to Souness, The Express reported that a significant sum of £72 million has been invested in the acquisition of Rasmus Hojlund, a promising young center striker who, unfortunately, does not possess an impressive track record in terms of goal scoring.

He participated in a total of 34 matches for Atalanta and achieved a goal-scoring tally of only 10. He has now entered a league characterized by a high level of difficulty in scoring goals.

There is a possibility that my assertion is incorrect, but it appears to be a significant risk for an individual lacking a demonstrated history of success.

Prior to his transfer to Manchester United, Hojlund shown commendable performance by scoring a total of 10 goals and contributing four assists in 34 matches for Atalanta.
