During a courtesy visit at the Government House in Abakaliki, Nwifuru addressed the members of the House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee on National Housing Fund and made an important call.
According to a report by DAILY POST, a committee led by Dachung Bagos has initiated a probe into the purported failure to send funds to the National Housing Funds (NHF) from 2011 until the present day.
Nwifuru, a former Speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly on two occasions, made an observation regarding the significance of maintaining the independence of the three branches of government, particularly the legislature. He emphasized that such independence is crucial for the establishment of robust institutions that can facilitate successful governance inside the country.

The responsibility now lies with the leadership of the National Assembly to accurately identify the situation and take appropriate action.
He stated that by providing leadership with appropriate resources, such as strength and immunity, they will be able to safeguard and defend the individual or group.
The governor expressed his disapproval of the prevailing circumstance in which numerous housing developments throughout the state have remained unfinished for an extended period, while those that have been completed are being assigned to individuals who are not employed in the civil service.
The author observed that the development is in opposition to the fundamental nature of the National Housing Fund.
The governor implored the committee members to conduct a comprehensive and impartial inquiry, emphasizing the importance of holding accountable any individuals found responsible through legal means.
Similarly, Nwifuru asserted that his administration will refrain from obtaining loans from commercial banks.
The individual expressed their reluctance to seek financial assistance from the bank, as they believe that the funds received from the Federal Government and internally generated revenue are sufficient for the purpose of community development.
In his earlier statements, Dachung Bagos, the Chairman of the House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee on National Housing Fund, expressed that the purpose of the lawmakers' visit to the state was to assess the progress of housing projects and raise awareness among the government regarding the importance of ensuring accurate remittance to the Housing Fund by civil servants.
