On Tuesday, the 27-year-old passed away in questionable circumstances.
In a statement released on Thursday, Force Public Relations Officer Muyiwa Adejobi said: "The Lagos State Commissioner of Police has been charged with determining how he died. As investigations progress, updates will be given, so rest assured.
Adejobi sent his sincere sympathies to the late Mohbad's family, friends, and supporters while adding, "We understand the concerns regarding his untimely demise."
By ordering the Lagos CP to look into the situation, he demonstrated that NPF "is committed to a comprehensive investigation into the matter."
He advised family members or friends who may have useful information "to approach the Lagos State Commissioner of Police" to help with the investigation.
The statement partially states, "In the interim, we kindly request that individuals refrain from making statements or engaging in activities that could jeopardize the ongoing investigation."
