Before his death, Mohbad wrote to the police, claiming, "They are after my life."
Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, nicknamed Mohbad, a deceased Nigerian rapper, wrote the Nigeria Police about the threat to his life in a letter that has come to light.

In a letter dated June 27, 2023, the late singer complained to the police force about "threats to life, malicious damage of properties valued at the sum of Five Million Naira, assault, occasional harm, oppression, and conduct likely to cause breach of peace against Samlarry, Elele, Obele, and others."

He alleged that on June 25, 2023, guys who claimed to be from Oba Elegushi attacked him while he was filming a video.

The singer of "Peace" claimed that the thugs continued to threaten to kill him even after he barely escaped on the mentioned day.

The petition states: "On June 25, 2023, Zlatan Ibile was shooting a video with another artist. About fifteen of the aforementioned individuals, led by Samlarry Elegushi, broke into the location where I was filming with dangerous weapons like guns and cutlasses, disrupted the entire process, damaged the equipment, which was worth about five million naira, and began threatening my life. They attacked me violently while doing this. I was hurt, but I just about made it.

The aforementioned photos are attached to this petition. I spent a total of Eight Million Naira (N8,000,000), which is non-refundable, on the shooting they damaged.

"However, during the assault, they boasted that they are employees of Oba Elegushi and that they have been asked to deal with me for reasons that are only known to them. To this day, they have continued to make threats to kill me if they see me.

"Sir, I need your help to protect my life from the aforementioned individuals and bring them to justice. We appreciate your prompt action.

According to INFOGONG, Mohbad passed away on Tuesday in questionable circumstances and was buried the following day in the Lagos neighborhood of Ikorodu.
