The three musicians signed on as brand symbols of Globacom at an elaborate and colorful ceremony conducted on Friday at the business' corporate headquarters, Mike Adenuga Towers.
Globacom recently celebrated 20 years of operation in the nation and stated that it is "celebrating it with the appointment of these new ambassadors to project the power of youth and enterprise and how much they can achieve with the right focus, passion, and dedication that can come from seeing others who have succeeded." As we hold the belief that a nation's strength depends in the aptitude and potential of its youth, this is very much a part of our tradition. The company stated that by appointing these three celebrities as ambassadors, "the best Nigerians are projected as role models for younger people who are ardently striving to succeed." In a time when good role models and mentors are hard to find, this is even more crucial. The goal is to inspire our teeming kids to aspire toward realizing their aspirations by looking up to these ambassadors as mentors, in addition to promoting the growth of music, Nollywood, and sports where we have been very prominent.
Ashake, Kizz Daniel, and Chike, three celebrities, are "role models who have gone through the grind to stand on the highest pedestal of their dreams," according to Globacom. In addition to sponsoring important events in a variety of areas of Nigerian society, the company claimed that it had always sought out talented and ambitious Nigerians and supported their endeavors by designating them as Glo ambassadors, adding that Globacom had always set the standard for this practice in Nigeria.
A graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile Ife, Osun State, Ahmed Ololade is better known as Ashake, and Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, better known as Kizz Daniel to music fans, holds a degree in water engineering from the Federal University of Agriculture in Abeokuta, Ogun State. While congratulating the new ambassadors, the corporation urged young people to imitate these 3 stars who kept their ambitions alive till they achieved success rather than to allow their dreams to die. Being represented by these celebrities "is our way of inspiring a whole generation of young people with vision who can do better and achieve more without losing hope along the way, even when confronted with challenges," the statement added.
Globacom promised to continue supporting the sector, noting that it held great potential for promoting Nigeria to the world and transforming lives, while also noting that the unveiling of these three stars was further confirmation of its commitment to the empowerment of Nigerians and the growth of the Nigerian entertainment industry. The new ambassadors thanked Dr. Mike Adenuga Jr., the founder and chairman of Globacom, for the honor bestowed upon them and pledged to uphold the company's values at all times in order to represent the Glo brand.
