Akinmade, who addressed journalists in Abeokuta on Friday, asserted that Abiodun demonstrated a strong dedication to combating corruption and safeguarding the principles of democracy within the nation.
In addition to placing a high emphasis on the well-being of the populace, the Abiodun administration is diligently striving to enhance the populace's confidence in the democratic system of the nation.
The individual stated that the governor, being a law-abiding leader, consistently resorts to the judicial system to seek remedies for both himself and his administration, rather than resorting to self-help measures.
Akinmade cited the governor's recourse to legal action in the dispute between himself and the ousted chairman of Ijebu-East Local Government, Wale Adedayo, as an illustrative instance.
This action serves as an illustration of his adherence to the principle of legal governance and his aversion to the utilization of coercive measures.
The governor has the belief that bringing Adedayo to court will enhance the democratic nature of our society and establish a firm foundation for the principles of law and order.
In contrast to individuals facing similar circumstances as Abiodun, who often resort to employing hooligans and resorting to various sorts of violence against those who accuse them, whether justifiably or not, our governor opted to pursue legal remedies by filing a lawsuit.
He deserves commendation from all individuals without exception for this. Akinmade further stated that the individual in question is affording Adedayo an opportunity to substantiate his claims.
Regarding the accusation made by Adedayo implicating the governor in his dismissal, Akinmade asserted that Adedayo was already in the process of being removed from his position prior to his unfounded accusation against the governor.
Prior to composing the letter in which he made allegations of the governor's misappropriation of Council funds, the individual in question had previously faced multiple accusations of impeachable offenses.
The consultant refuted Adedayo's assertion that his Council had received no allocation since he assumed the position of Chairman, citing evidence provided by the Joint Account Allocation Committee (JAAC) in the state.
This action was undertaken by the House of Assembly during their examination of his petition.
