A narcotics buy-bust operation in the Philippines led to the arrest of two Nigerian nationals.
Two Nigerian nationals were arrested and at least P6.2 million in heroin was recovered in a buy-bust operation by anti-narcotics agents of the Philippine government inside a shopping mall in Imus City, Cavite. 


Both Enuka John Chukwuemeka and Christopher Nwabufo are locals of Golden Acres Village in Las Pias City, where they were apprehended by police.


After selling 40 grams of heroin for P240,000 to a poseur buyer at the main entrance of a shopping mall in Barangay (village) Tanzang Luma 5 at around 4:05 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, the suspects were apprehended by police.


Officers reportedly discovered another kilogram of heroin for P6,000,000 and 15 grams of marijuana worth an estimated P1,800 during standard frisking following the arrest.


The authorities are trying to track down where the drugs came from.


Two mobile phones were taken from the suspects and will be analyzed digitally for traces of drug transactions by the agents.


In accordance with Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165, also known as "The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002," Chukwuemeka and Nwabufo are charged with violating Section 5 in relation to Section 26 paragraph B (Attempt or Conspiracy to Sell Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs). 


The operation was led by the PDEA and participated in by the PNP and NBI of the Philippines.
