A group of armed men has abducted a total of eight people in the state of Kogi.

There have been reports of alleged kidnappings carried out by men believed to be hoodlums, resulting in the abduction of eight people along the Idah-Odolu Road in the Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area of Kogi State over a span of four days.

An anonymous witness, motivated by concerns of personal safety, asserted that they managed to flee from the location where the aforementioned incident occurred, taking place on the day of Sunday.

During a conversation with iGONG on Thursday in Lokoja, he stated that a total of eight individuals have been held captive by the kidnappers since the commencement of their criminal activities on that particular area of the state on Sunday.

The spokesperson of the Kogi State Police Command, SP William Aya, did not provide confirmation in response to the calls made.
