According to information obtained by iGONG, the incident took place on Thursday night at Miracle Junction in Ifite, Anambra State.

Uche Jovita Chigozirim was named as the student's gender.

Chigozirim was struck by a stray bullet at Miracle Junction, according to a coworker of the deceased, Dickson Anayochi, who spoke with journalists.

"This girl, Uche Jovita Chigozirim, a 100-level student in the faculty of Health Science, was slain by a stray bullet shot by suspected cult members at the well-known Miracle Junction yesterday (Thursday) evening.

"Please assist us and inform the world of the insecurity we are experiencing in the UNIZIK environment and the fact that the state administration is doing nothing to make things better.

We're sick of whining to the state government, so please help us set up a checkpoint surrounding UNIZIK's Ifite neighborhood with the assistance of the Inspector General of Police. We are now so accustomed to it as a culture. It's very depressing," he replied.

Tochukwu Ikenga, the spokesperson for the Anambra State Police Command, could not be reached on his mobile phone, thus iGONG was unable to get a response from him.

The student's lifeless body was still lying at the murder scene when this report was submitted, shrouded in banana leaves.
