Wike is prepared to work with the APC The Ganduje

Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, has disclosed that negotiations are ongoing for various opposition political groups to merge with the APC.

When talking about former Rivers State Governor and incoming minister-designate Nyesom Wike's visit to his home on Tuesday, August 15, Ganduje made this disclosure.

When asked if Wike will serve as a minister in the APC under President Bola Tinubu, Ganduje responded that the former governor of Rivers state is willing to work with the party without necessarily joining it.

He stated:

"You know Wike is an honorable Minister-designate, so he came we discussed because I was looking for him to congratulate him for that and also he came to congratulate me and we discussed that when he fully becomes minister, he will work very hard in order to move the ministry he is giving forward and he is ready to cooperate," the speaker said.However, we didn't talk about whether he would join APC or not. Later, the problem will come up.

Regarding his intention to increase the number of party members and whether Wike will improve the chances of the APC, Ganduje remarked;

Not only are we releasing a new blueprint to enhance the party's followership, which will include all levels of officials, both those who are in the APC and those who are in other political parties, but it will also strengthen the chances of this party, particularly in 2027. I can promise you that certain political parties will even combine with the APC very soon. We're carrying that out covertly.

"In Nigeria, the spirit of national unity does not equate to the spirit of one party. Spirit of national competency equates to spirit of national unity.
