The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has just undertaken the demolition of a duplex worth millions of naira in Abuja.

On Monday, the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) carried out the demolition of a duplex worth millions of naira that was constructed on plot 226 in Wuse Zone 6, an unauthorized area of land.

The aforementioned information was disclosed by Mr. Mukhtar Galadima, the Director of the Department of Development Control.

According to Galadima, the construction of the structure was conducted in violation of regulations despite prior admonitions. He further stated that his team conducted a thorough inquiry to determine the true proprietor of the land, as conflicting assertions were being made by the involved parties.

As to his account, the investigation uncovered that the developer did not possess ownership rights over the property. Consequently, it was necessary to demolish the structure in question.

According to his statement, the FCT Administration would not take into account the position of any developer who violates development laws and regulations.

According to Galadima, the duplex was demolished due to its construction on a piece of land without proper ownership documentation and the necessary authorization for building plans.

According to the individual cited by the Nigerian News Agency (NAN), the decision to demolish the structure was made after reaching a certain point of completion, as it was imperative to adhere to all necessary procedures and protocols.
