Shooting Stars pay tribute to the late Opeyemi

The management of Shooting Stars has expressed its condolences over the passing of Mr. Rafiu Kazeem Opeyemi, an Oyo State Council member of the Nigeria Referees Association (NRA).

Ona Ara Referees Society chairman who passed away on Saturday night in a horrific accident.

He and four other people were traveling back from an Abuja fitness test when the accident happened at Osu, Ilesha, Osun State.

"We are shocked to learn of the passing of Rafiu Kazeem Opeyemi, a good man.

"We pray that God would grant him eternal life and give his loved ones, friends, and coworkers the strength to endure the unimaginable loss.

"The club also wishes the trio of Oni Ebenezer Segun, Ajadi Odunayo, and Amos, who sustained injuries in the accident, quick recovery," the club added.
