Rafsanjani: "Keyamo is hot-tempered and needs a moderate approach as minister."

Festus Keyamo, the minister of aviation, has received advice from Auwal Rafsanjani, executive director of the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Center (CISLAC), to use moderation in handling the ministry.

The head of CISLAC claimed that while Keyamo has a short fuse, the ministry he leads requires a person with a level head.

These were disclosed by Rafsanjani during an interview with Politics Today on Channels TV.

He advised Keyamo to exhibit such qualities in order to succeed, saying that the Aviation Ministry needs a manager with a strong character.

Festus Keyamo, a friend and former colleague, "can even cause chaos," if you observe the way he acts. They ought to have given him something less contentious, in my opinion," Rafsanjani said.

"The character of Keyamo was cited by the European Union in their assessment on the most recent election as someone whose actions and statements were anti-democratic.

"He needs to tone down his strategy. He has an explosive temper. It's not about defaming people's characters in this. A person with a sound mind ought to lead this important ministry.
