If Peter Obi had been superior to Tinubu, Nigerians would have voted for him, according to Wike
According to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, it is asserted that Nigerians would have potentially favored Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), in the general election held on February 25, 2023, had he been perceived as a more qualified candidate.

On Wednesday, Wike made an appearance on Channels Television's Politics Today program and delivered a speech.

The former Governor of Rivers State expressed his endorsement of President Bola Tinubu, who was the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), over Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the highly competitive election.

Wike asserted that he refrains from engaging in discussions pertaining to presidential contenders.

Nevertheless, the individual expressed their inclination to refrain from engaging in discussions pertaining to presidential candidates, instead focusing on topics such as the economy, the president, and the merits of their proposed policies.

If Obi had performed at a higher level, Nigerians would have been more inclined to vote for him.
