"I was homeless and frequently slept at Ojuelegba bridge." - Oxlade

Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, better known by his stage name Oxlade, a Nigerian artist, has described how he spent some time sleeping under a bridge after evading his family to pursue his music career.

He claimed that because his father, a lecturer, opposed his choice to pursue music, he had to flee and work multiple menial jobs to support himself.

The singer of "Away" claimed that he occasionally sold BRT bus tickets and camped out at Ojuelegba Barrack Bridge.

On the Afrobeats podcast, hosted by Adesope Olajide, Oxlade made this disclosure.
