For the Super Falcons' 2019 allowances, we have no money. - NFF

The sensitive matter of match bonuses and allowances between the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the Super Falcons has been made clear.

While testifying before the House of Representatives ad hoc committee on the issue between the Super Falcons and NFF on Thursday in Abuja, NFF President Ibrahim Gusau made this known.

Gusau claimed that no funds was made available for participation, although she did admit that all 32 qualified nations received $960,000 for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, which will be hosted by Australia and New Zealand.

He contends that the nations should use the FIFA-provided preparatory funds to help their teams get ready for the World Cup.

The NFF President claimed that CAF and FIFA are typically responsible for funding the organization. He added that the Federal Government does not pay the NFF's personnel and officials; instead, FIFA covers those expenses.
