For allegedly killing her uncle with a knife, a 21-year-old lady and her boyfriend were detained.

Ny'keira Ty'shae Allen, 21, and Tereike Da'shaun Woods, her boyfriend, were detained by the Spartanburg Police Department in North Carolina on suspicion of fatally murdering her uncle. 

According to a statement released by the police on August 24, 2023, they were called to Fisher Avenue at around 1:20 a.m. on August 13 after receiving a report that several persons had been stabbed during a fight.

Officers said that when they arrived on the scene, they saw a man laying on the ground with stab wounds. The individual was admitted to the hospital, according to the police, but eventually died from his wounds.

According to witnesses at the scene, a woman and her uncle, James Anderson, got into a fight, according to the police. Witnesses claim the woman then contacted her boyfriend, who is claimed to have arrived and carried on the dispute, which intensified and resulted in the stabbing of the woman's uncle. 

James Anderson, a 32-year-old Spartanburg resident, was the victim, according to the Spartanburg County Coroner's Office.

The Spartanburg Police Department sent police to 106 Fisher Avenue on August 13, 2023, at about 1:20 a.m., in response to a disturbance. According to authorities, when there was an altercation, several persons were stabbed.

The first altercation between the female and her uncle was reported to have occurred when the officers arrived. The female then called her boyfriend, who subsequently went to 106 Fisher Avenue to confront the uncle.

"A verbal argument between the participants turned into a physical altercation. When police arrived, they discovered a black man with stab wounds lying on the ground across the street from 106 Fisher Avenue.

"When officers saw blood on the street, they started helping the man right away because he was clearly having trouble breathing. When Spartanburg EMS came, they took the victim to the hospital for treatment.

"Unfortunately, James Anderson of 106 Fisher Avenue (DOB 1/10/1991) passed away from his injuries while being treated at the hospital.

"The victim's niece and her boyfriend were detained for their role in the event on August 23, 2023. After being detained, Ms. Ny'keira Ty'shae Allen, DOB 01/29/2002, of 106 Fisher Avenue in Spartanburg was charged with murder and having a weapon on them while committing a violent crime. In addition, Greenville, South Carolina resident Tereike Da'shaun Woods, DOB 09/17/1997, was detained and accused with murder.
