Avoid nightclubs, incoming students are advised by YABATECH.

After matriculating, new students at Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) are encouraged not to attend any nighttime events.

YABATECH's Head of Public Relations, Mr. Joe Ejiofor, provided the advice in a statement on Thursday in Lagos.

Such events, according to Ejiofor, could expose freshly accepted pupils to unforeseen circumstances that could be dangerous.

The college administration's key concerns, according to the public relations officer, are the general students' academic success and safety.

"I would like to draw your attention to a crucial issue surrounding late-night matriculation festivities as part of the management's dedication to your achievement and well-being.

"While it is understood that campus life offers a variety of options for connecting with people and socializing, we must caution you of the risks involved with going to parties at strange hours.

Therefore, he continued, "you are cautioned in your interest to avoid any night parties planned after matriculation."
