In the midst of relationship rumors, Colombian singer Shakira and Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton are apparently more than pals.
The two have generated ongoing romance rumors after being seen together at a number of occasions this year.
Following a "secret" vacation to Ibiza, a source has now revealed the two are "more than friends."
A Catalan publication reported that the couple was continuing their connection.
In addition to being sighted together at the British Grand Prix at a nightclub last month, Shakira, 46, and Lewis Hamilton, 38, were also seen together on a yacht with friends.
The couple's relationship status was recently clarified by journalist Jodi Martin, who described the two as having a "beautiful friendship."
In response to other remarks made on the couple, she stated: "I would like to dispute any information that has surfaced in a Catalan daily, where they say that Hamilton is bored of Shakira's attitude.
I can certainly refute this claim because Shakira's entourage confirms that she and Hamilton have always had a wonderful friendship after speaking with me.
"And that, there has been more than just friendship between them."
The two were completely free to do whatever they pleased and understood there was nothing serious going on.
The British F1 driver and the Colombian singer allegedly met "three times" in the Ibiza property after "the workers left," according to a source who spoke to the Spanish TV station Telecinco.
They claimed: "After the workers left, the singer remained by herself with a private escort and visited by Hamilton."
The insider added that the sportsman's driver's 'continuous chats' with the Waka Waka singer were overheard by Hamilton's driver.
Shakira apparently only left her villa twice while Lewis spent the first week of this month on a yacht with friends while Lewis finished third in his race at Silverstone.
The source continued, "Once to see Bizarrap and another to have dinner with Hamilton."
Shakira and Lewis reportedly partied till the wee hours of the morning after the British Grand Prix, as romance rumors between the two intensify.
She apparently followed the racing driver to Silverstone to show her support before going to the London nightclub Tape to see him.
An observer said the two appeared to be having a fantastic time at a VIP table at the club, with Lewis staying out until 6 in the morning while Shakira partied until 3.30 in the morning.
According to a partygoer who spoke with The Sun, "they were on a VIP table together in the venue and Shakira was seen locked in conversation with Lewis as well as various other members of his entourage."
She was up dancing close to the table where she had been seated with Lewis, and she seemed to be having a fantastic time.
The partygoer said, "They seemed to be very friendly."
