She went on to say that the efforts of concerned members of the public and community leaders who worked with the Nigeria Police, lgbogbo, to effect the suspect's arrest and aid in the continuing investigation led to the arrest of the suspect.
The Director congratulated local authorities and citizens for upholding the law and advancing victims' justice.
Adesomoju asked state residents to support the protection of the weak in society, assist the OPD in its fight against human rights violations, and report incidences of rape and defilement to the OPD office that is most convenient for them.
